Chilling in the Tropics - a Jaguar at Rest. I'm fascinated with animals just like I was as a little kid , besides having lived in a huge range of tropical environments.How to capture the intense heat with the solitude of being alone? Naturally place a recumbent jaguar at a relaxing moment in time. I like this one for the variety of flat shapes and how the colors interact also.

Murals:
I've discovered that painting large scale works was something that I loved and was gifted at since I was 16 years of age. A six by six foot canvas opened up so many new intriguing challenges in terms of compositional elements and the interaction of color, besides whatever story the work told. I worked on one off and on for four years. An abstraction that turned into a solar system with strings of colors for the string theory science concept. I don't have photos now, but the painting was finished over 5 times until it was finally finished... lol. My large scale work now involves aquatic life and a tropical theme. People are truly impressed and I actually surprised myself and it's not complete yet but will be soon.
Now I'd like to branch out with my main focus on a mural for a kid's room and an occasional commission for an adult's space. Oceans, sports, solar systems, and animals of all types with elements of abstract art and realism combined. I'll come up with a series of sketches after interacting with the client and go from there using acrylic paint. As I love art history I could do themes for kids based on well known master artists bringing them to life in a new way for children. As an example I have a 47 page series of drawings based on Van Gogh and two artists friends that I intend to publish in the future along with a description of each drawing.
